What it's like to play

ONOFF is a 25-level platformer drawn entirely in SVG, with a 768×480 coordinate space. The character is 26×48 and moves at 360 px per second. Jump velocity is 1,200 px per second, gravity adds 120 px per second squared, and falling speed is capped at 600.

Bars and spikes carry an on/off flag; the game only collides with the layer that matches its current state. Press Space and the solid platform disappears, while the one behind it becomes solid. In code the check is `bar.on === this.on`, so timing a toggle mid-jump is the whole game.

There is no timer and no score. Deaths and the level number sit in the HUD, and dying restarts the level after a 700 ms animation. Twenty-five levels ship, and the early ones teach movement, jumping and toggling without text.

A level editor ships as editor.html; custom levels load from a URL parameter at startup. Gamepad support: A jumps, X toggles, the D-pad moves.

It suits players who like Celeste-style precision without a stopwatch. There is no hint system.

Verdict: Celeste-style precision without a stopwatch: 25 levels, no score, no timer and no hint system.

Controls

A/D or left and right arrows move, W or Up jumps, Space toggles the on/off layer, Enter starts; on a gamepad A jumps, X toggles, the D-pad moves.
