Blockrain is a Tetris build wrapped in a plugin demo page. The first screen is a full-width board that plays itself at speed 100, with two smaller bot-versus-bot boards below it. The manual game sits further down in the Try it yourself panel: a 200×330 board with the vim theme and a Play button. The rest of the page documents the plugin's features, so it doubles as a demo for developers. That split matters, because the most visible board is not the one you can control.
Click Play and seven tetromino shapes fall into a ten-column well. Clear rows to score, and the counter resets on every run. The drop rate rises after each ten lines, turning a long game into a test of stacking discipline rather than fast hands. There is no hold slot, no ghost piece and no hard drop, so the rules stay close to the 1989 original.
The keyboard map is wider than the page's arrow-key hint. Left and right move, down soft-drops, up or X rotates clockwise, and Z rotates counter-clockwise; A, S, D and W mirror those moves. One to four cleared rows pay 400, 1,000, 3,000 and 12,000 points. The demo runs at speed 20, a 50 ms tick with the piece dropping one row every five ticks, while the autoplay hero board runs at 100.
Verdict: Play it as a clean, no-frills Tetris. The missing audio and the buried manual board are real drawbacks, but the scoring curve and the speed ramp are intact, and the 200×330 panel scales neatly to a phone. Fans of the original will settle in within a minute.
